Hey there Kentucky newbies, Are YOU on a quest to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? Get Recognized?

Hey there Kentucky newbies, Are YOU on a quest to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?  Get Recognized?

This post is a result of two posts by my friend Richard Weisser down in Georgia.  The first post was "How do you expect to get drenched in the rain if you don't even want to get your feet wet?" dated 5/21/09 in which he offers 6 suggestions to those of us here in Active Rain.  In addition he also offers his personal guarantee "So, for those of you that want to succeed at blogging, I offer you this challenge. Before you throw in the towel, write at least one hundred quality posts before you make your value assessment. It takes that long to develop the correct skills and disciplines and also to create a body of content large enough to have a significant SEO impact on your business.  Now that is some guarantee wouldn't you say?  Richard then follows that post with another post titled "Achieving national celebrity status as a result of ActiveRain blogging becomes a reality! (of sorts)" where he talks about a recent interview with Realtor Magazine on line where he was interviewed about blogging for business.  So, IMHO, Richard is not only a celeb but one that knows where of he speaks.

With the numerous posts talking to newbie's here in Active Rain on how to be a success in their blogging venture to improve their visibility to the public I am setting out on a quest.  I am not going to suggest things to newbie's or those that are less active on AR; I am on a search for some of these folks for introduction to our AR family.  Here is my 3 step plan:

  1. Go on a state by state search and post between 5 and 7 people each Saturday
  2. Then you the MEMBERSHIP will be able to see and encourage them by responding to their most recent post
  3. A NEW qualification just introduced, your post must have be done since January of this year.

The end result will be, hopefully, an increase in activity with more members becoming visible.  Now there is a really BIG problem with this plan.  I will not be able, my rule, to suggest those that have not done a post or even posted their picture.  You see there won't be any secret agents, lenders, stagers, inspectors, etc. shown.  Sorry, if you want to be considered I need to see who you are, sorta like your picture on your business card.

Today I am looking at the state of Kentucky, where Active Rain has a total of 1018 AR members as of this morning.  I would say that Lizette Fitzpatrick Lizette Fitzpatrick #1 and Vickie McCartney Vickie McCartney #2 could have some competition coming up behind them.  So, say hello to:

Brad DanielBrad Daniel with Rector Hayden Realtors in Lexington, KY.

Brad is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Music Education.  After several years of teaching he turned his attention on Real Estate and has had a successful career with his SOI and building a large referral business in the process.  Brad wrote an introductory post back in April and hasn't been back, either he is very busy or needs a little prodding, could I enlist your help?

Chris WallChris Wall with RE/MAX Properties East in Louisville, KY.

Chris is a graduate of University of Louisville Speed Scientific School BSIE, and has a Masters Degree in Engineering.  I bet he is a stickler for detail.  Chris is familiar with short sales, relocation and foreclosures.  Chris's first and only post was in April where he asked the question, "CDPE, How are you using yours."  So, How are you using your CDPE designation?  Stop in and let Chris know.

Gerri WillisGerri Willis with Keller Williams Realty Louisville East in Louisville, KY.

Gerri says of herself that she is new to Real Estate but not new to selling having come from a long line of "salesmen".  Gerri wrote several posts in February and in one of them she was selling her father's 1989 Bentley.  Hmm, I wonder how I would look driving around in one of those???  Gerri must be having fun in real estate and too busy to drop in  and play in the rain.  Any of you car enthusiasts out there willing to say hello and encourage her to stop back in?

Michael LeekMichael Leek with Thoroghbred Capital Partners in Bowling Green, KY.

I am thinking that Michael likes to read because in his first (5/09) and only post he talked about a real must read.  I am thinking that the title is "Real Estate Heavyweight" but I am not sure seeing that he didn't tell us.  Hmm, I wonder if he has enough encouragement that he would come back and tell us the title in another post?

Mary RenfroMary Renfro with Southern Trust Realty in Richmond, KY.

Mary specializes in farm land, horse property, hunting land, residential, foreclosures, short sales.  Hey Mary I have a friend that has a new found interest in duck hunting do you have something that can help him out?

Mary wrote her first post in March, introducing herself to us saying that she was just learning to blog.  I'm thinking that she just need to be nudged a little and she will be back contributing to the group

Pamela WilsonPamela Wilson with Kentucky Mortgage Team/MSI Lending in Somerset, KY.

Pam wrote her first post in September 2008 and then came back in March of this year.  I am thinking that it is about time for another post?  Drop in and say hello to this lender in Somerset, KY.

Kathy FergusKathy Fergus with Link Realty in Florence, KY.

Kathy wrote her first ever blog post in January saying that she was new to blogging.  In her post she says, "I'm convinced that blogging is one of keys to success in the future, but I'm overwhelmed by all the possibilities."  Being a training coordinator in her company she may need a little more convincing about how this media and Active Rain can help improve ones business.  Drop in on Kathy and say hello.

Be looking for your state coming soon to a post near you.  Next I will be off to  Louisiana; if you know of someone celebrating a birthday in Louisiana next week just email their name to me and I will acknowledge one person.

Please stop by and encourage these guys and gals and let's see if we can improve some of the participation.  Thanks for stopping in.

If you are looking for a very simple way to move up in your standings for the state that you live in, here are three small suggestions plus one:

  1. Make one comment on someone's blog post.....Just pick one of the Featured Posts and read it then comment on what you read and
  2. Complete your profile and then if you are looking for other suggestions,
  3. Click here and here and here for more help.
  4. Check out what the #1 and #2 or any of those members on page one of your state.

Thanks to Active Brad Andersohn Brad Andersohn and Jeremy Blanton Jeremy Blanton for their contributions.  BTW, don't let these guys scare you they are really docile.
