What's YOUR Active Rain Style? What is Your Active Rain Style?
Ronald Reagan once said, "You can tell alot about a fellow's character by his way of eating jellybeans." Many have analyzed this quote to present Reagan's real meaning of his words. What does this have to do with Active Rain?
We're constantly trying to analyze our methods of blogging and commenting here in the Rain! Who comments on whose posts? How do you learn what program to use to better present your posts? Who do you subscribe to? Who do you 'associate' with here in the Rain? Are you a groupie or do you 'hit or miss?'
I am constantly trying to fine-tune my addiction in this forum! I primarily use my blog subscription roll but, then realize that I haven't 'chatted' with a few folks for awhile and I scroll down to find them. Somehow I've missed their posts and comment very late on them. Sometimes they've taken a leave-of-absence for one reason or another but, I feel I have to check on them to be sure they're okay!
Others use their favorite groups and read the from their groups. Some groups are far more active than others. The cool thing about Active Rain, is that you can create your OWN group for others to participate!
Some prefer the featured list. The features list has been lengthened to accomodate the 20 most recent posts.
Others prefer the Active Rain featured newsletter. If you haven't been reading the newsletter, a specific topic is covered daily and has highlighted posts regarding that topic. It is generally a hot topic that is presented and all articles have been 'filtered' to show the best of the best.
Some are searching for a topic in which they're interested, at that particular moment. How cool is it to be able to search say, SEO, and find hundreds or thousands of posts from those who are willing to share their extensive knowledge on this topic? They are FAR more SEO savvy than I, so why not learn all I can from them in this forum?
This is a most diverse place with one common link--our passion for real estate. We all love to learn and enjoy the social aspect as well. What a great place to learn, socialize and to do business!
So, how do YOU eat your jellybeans?
